Korattur is a locality in Chennai situated in its north-western region. It is a part of Chennai Corporation, and is located along Chennai-Mumbai railroad, which is approximately 12 kilometres from Chennai Central. It is often referred to as an integral part of Anna Nagar. Korattur was once famous for its lakes and water bodies, but now industrial development has reduced them to tiny ponds.
