Land & Habitat : 

This sub-tropical Island has gently undulating hills timbered with narrow leaf Ironbark, Bloodwood & coastal scrub rising to the steeper hills at Mt Spear grass & Mt Arthur, all accessible to livestock. 

The country is mainly grassed with Forest Mitchell & supported by soft native grasses under sown in area with seca, Wynncassia & Verano stylos.  

Home to some very rare marsupials.  

Northern Bettong's are reported and seen on the island. There is estimated to be only 1000 left in the wild. 

Northern Brown Bandicoot also inhabits the island along with other species. 

Over 130 varieties of daytime bird life along with numerous nocturnal species. 

Numerous plant and tree varieties are said to only be still found on the island.  

Water: 

10 dams at various sites throughout the property with 2 dams interconnected via 1 ½ poly & connected to high 5000 gal tanks which services troughs & houses. 

Quail Island covers 1950Ha or 4818Ac & is Sub-divided into 9 main paddocks, the main cattle yards are steel construction centrally located c/w new vet crush & ramp, supported by an old set of trap yards. New set goat yards

Main Homestead is double story steel framed open plan living, 2 bathrooms with combined kitchen & dining area, positioned with commanding views across the property taking in the many beaches & Pacific Ocean.
