The surrounding localities include Mondal Para, Kamalgazi, Narendrapur, and Garia. The famous landmarks of this area are the Narendrapur Ramkrishna Mission, the ancestral place of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, and the Bipadtarini Chandi Bari Temple.
