Mulund is a suburb in north-east of Mumbai. Located at the junction of Thane and Navi Mumbai, it is 32 kilometres from the City Centre. Known as the Prince of Suburbs, it is situated near the Sanjay Gandhi Park. This well-planned and green suburb is divided into two parts Mulund West and Mulund East. Mulund West hosts many well-known manufacturing companies such as Wellcome, Glaxo, Hoechst, Johnson & Johnson, and Merind. It also has offices of engineering companies like Agfa, Gabriel, and Richardson Cruddas.

Connectivity

Mulund West is well-connected through the Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg (LBS Marg) which leads to Sion. The Mulund Railway Station lies on the central railway line and links this area to major suburbs like Bhandup, Ghatkopar, and Vikhroli. The 10-kilometre long stretch of the Goregaon-Mulund Link Road (GMLR) which has been proposed by BMC will begin at Goregaon in the western suburb and will extend upto Mulund in the eastern suburb. This is believed to serve as an important link between the Eastern and the Western Highways, as well as between the Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link Road (JVLR) and the stretch that connects Aarey Colony to Powai, Mulund, and Vikhroli.
